About Camp Bonk
Camp Bonk is designed to help you locate available campsites in your area when you're not sure which campsite you want.
This can be useful in planning last minute getaways. It works best entering a location, such as San Francisco, and it will
show nearby camping options.
Which sites are displayed? Currently, the map only shows camp sites from Reserve America and California State Parks that take online reservations. More to be added soon.
How to use Enter a location, such as San Francisco, and you will see a map of all registered camp sites on the map. Pan the map (click and drag) to search nearby areas. To only display locations with availability, click the 'Check Availability' box, then enter a check-in date and range. The popup window has a link to make the reservation.
Technology Camping Bonk is based on the extension to the WeatherBonk architecture, which provides support for very rapid development of enterprise-grade mashups.
